The Heartwork Revolution: Why Feelings Fitness Isn't Just Fluff
Welcome back to the Feelings Fitness Podcast, where we do the heartwork behind the home life. I'm Suzanne, and this episode is a little bit of a pause between two different series of sorts I've gone through growing through grief and then next up we're going to do a series called From Falling Apart to Feeling Fulfilled. But today is a little bit of a shift. Today we're going to talk about from whispering your purpose to finally being able to roar, and there's a quote that I absolutely love by Brene Brown, and it says purpose doesn't always roar. Sometimes it whispers quietly. And for a while now I've had feelings fitness floating out there and I've hinted at this idea of feelings fitness family, and it's been both of them just a whisper, an idea, a little movement, a quiet offering, shared softly, a yoga class here, a podcast there. And truthfully I whispered because I was afraid, afraid people wouldn't take it seriously, afraid I'd sound too soft, too overly emotional, afraid someone would roll their eyes. When I talked about moms and feelings and yoga and, quite frankly, sometimes they did I've definitely felt brushed off. I've been met with silence. I've even felt a little made fun of, I guess. And when you've already fallen apart, when you're climbing out of grief. Those moments can sting, but here's the thing the whisper hasn't gone away. It's getting louder, it's grown roots and now it's becoming a roar. So let me be clear, this is what I've been building Feelings Fitness Family is more than yoga. It's a safe space for emotional support. It's a toolkit for moms who are carrying everything and wondering why they're falling apart. It's gentle yoga to regulate your nervous system. Emotional guidance to help moms be the thermostat, not the thermometer. Real talk about grief, perimenopause purpose and parenting Support for the whole family, because when a mom is well, the whole home breathes easier. It's not about doing more. It's about feeling more supported while doing what already feels impossible.
Speaker 0:For too long I minimized this work. I told myself this isn't a real business, this isn't a serious solution, this is just something I do on the side. But now I know better, because moms are burning out, parents are overwhelmed, families are emotionally flooded and there's so much noise but so little guidance on how to manage emotions in a practical, embodied way. Feelings fitness isn't fluff, it's foundation, it's the work under the work, and if someone wants to make fun of it, well, let them, because the moms I'm helping, they're sleeping better, they're breathing deeper. They're crying during Shavasana and saying I didn't know how much I needed this. That's the real validation.
Speaker 0:Here's the truth. If you're a mom, you're the emotional thermostat of your home, not by choice, not because it's fair, but because when you are calm, your house feels safe, and when you're not, everything else feels off too. That's why this work matters, because no one is giving moms the tools to reset, to regulate. We're told to meditate, but not how to make space for it To breathe, but not how to lead by example, to stay calm, to breathe, but not how to help others rise.
Speaker 0:No more hiding, no more whispering. It's time to roar, because if this can help one mom feel less alone, if this helps one child grow up in a more emotionally safe home, if this work changes even one family dynamic for the better, then it's already worth it. So here's your invitation. If you've been quietly listening, if you've been whispering your own dream, if you're not quite sure anyone gets it, you're not alone. Let's rise together, let's roar together and let's build a world where moms are supported emotionally, practically and fully. Thank you for being on this journey with me. I'll see you inside. Feelings, fitness, family.
